

Born in Opelousas, Louisiana on November 4, 1931, she is survived by her three children, Deborah Jones, Michael LeGrange and his wife Caren of Houston and Brian LeGrange, of New Braunfels. In addition, she is survived by her six grandchildren: Courtney LeGrange Nunnally and her husband Andrew, Amanda Jones Gerwick and husband Sami, Mason LeGrange and wife Madeline, Christina Jones Losch and husband Dalio, Tiffany LeGrange and Nicholas LeGrange; and 1 great grandson, Mason Nunnally. She is preceded in death by her husband Ulyesse, parents - Alfred and Theresa Perry, and her brothers - Alfred and Gerry.
Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Ulyesse, on August 20, 1949.Through all the many years of their marriage, she was a devoted wife and firm supporter of her husband in his career with Exxon and traveled extensively with him throughout the world.
Barbara was an active participant in the Houston social and charitable scene. She chaired or co-chaired events for such diverse organizations as the Lupus Foundation, the Moores School of Music, the Asia Society, the Houston Symphony, the Houston Ballet, the Museum of Fine Arts and Taping for the Blind. She loved to dance and was noted for her dancing skills at many of the local charity balls. She was an avid collector of antiques which she found on her travels, a gourmet cook and a bridge enthusiast. She loved fashion and was admired for her style.
The family wishes to express special appreciation to Ruth and the wonderful caregivers who supported her in her last months, especially Lynn, Vivian, Mia and Keola. We are also grateful for the loving staff at Capstone Hospice who were each invaluable in their special way to our family as they provided such loving care for our mother.
A Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in the chapel on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10:00 am with a reception to follow.
