Barbara Sayre Minotti

Barbara Sayre Minotti entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 22, 2026, at the age of 92. While her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the assurance that she is celebrating eternal life with the Savior she faithfully loved and served.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, an accomplished tennis player, an adventurous traveler, a faithful prayer warrior, and a devoted friend.

She possessed a quick wit, a love of music, and a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved in her home. Cooking for her children and family friends was one of the many ways she expressed love and care for those around her. Of all life's blessings, none meant more to Barbara than her family. They were her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

When she wasn't in the kitchen, Barbara could often be found on the tennis court. Even into her 80s, her powerful, well-placed volleys and overheads intimidated opponents decades younger. In 2018, she competed in the USTA Senior Women's Clay Court Championships, earning second place—a fitting accomplishment for someone whose competitive spirit never faded.

She loved to travel and embraced each adventure with enthusiasm. Yet her life was not defined by the places she visited or the accomplishments she achieved, but by the people she loved and the faith she lived.

Barbara was a fervent prayer warrior who faithfully maintained a large stack of worn prayer boards filled with the names and requests of family and friends. She updated them weekly and prayed over them daily.

She was a devoted friend whose wisdom and example inspired those around her. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including sharing a glass of Chardonnay over meaningful conversation with her treasured friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Americo "Mike" Minotti, in 1994. Though she experienced profound loss, her faith in God never wavered. She lived with quiet strength, steadfast perseverance, and abiding trust in the Lord through every season of life, standing on the foundation of her favorite Bible verse:

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Barbara is survived by her eight loving children: Ken Wommack (Natalie), Mike Minotti (Carol), Carlo Minotti (Angela), Bella Gilbert (Mike), Marcello Minotti (Cheryl), Gabriella Bennett (Jeff), Rossano Minotti (Sarah), and Joseph Vitto Minotti.

She was also the cherished grandmother of twenty grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in Christ's promise and the hope of seeing her again. Until then, they will cherish her memory, celebrate her life, and seek to live out the faith she so beautifully modeled.
