Barbara Ellen Laferty Wagner

After a long fight with COPD, Barbara passed away in her Houston home while holding the hand of her husband the morning of Saturday, January 29, 2022. Her family is now rejoicing that her suffering is over and that she is at home with Jesus. She is preceeded in death by her parents, Poppie and Lonnie Laferty. Barbara was one of fourteen children eight of which have preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband Raymond; daughters Kathryn Wagner and Penny Dodd (David). Grandchildren; Krista Hollandsworth, Amanda Krainz (Justin), Caroline Stephens (Austin), and Alex Dodd (fiancé Hannah Herrman). Great-grandson JJ Krainz. Along with five brothers and sisters.

Barbara was born in Huron County, Rural Ohio on February 2, 1946. She worked at Foley's as a secretary and retired after twenty-two years. Then spent her time volunteering at The Mission of Houston's First Baptist Church. While a member of Houston's First she would meet the love of her life and best friend Raymond. That friendship would continue to grow into a beautiful marriage of thirty-five years. Barbara adored life and lived with the belief that God is present in all circumstances.
