Barbara grew up and lived in Houston for her entire life. She attended Holy Name Catholic School and was in the first graduating class of St. Pius X High School in 1959. She married Gus Zgourides in 1963 and they raised a house full of children. Barbara served as a Sunday School teacher at Annunciation Orthodox Church. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She attended countless youth athletic events. She loved many, and she was loved by many. Barbara's family meant everything to her and she lived her life to help others. She loved entertaining family and friends at the Hacienda. Christmas, Thanksgiving, and family reunions inevitably happened at the Hacienda. Many people broke bread at her huge round table. We will miss her Greek, Syrian, and Southern dishes, and her incredible cakes too.
