Barney Lester Smith went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2016. He was born on September 27, 1925 in Andalusia, Alabama to parents Thomas and Blanche Smith. Barney worked as a millwright. He married the love of his life Lillian Warman on July 7, 1961.Barney served his country in WWII in the U.S. Navy. Barney loved the outdoors, from hunting and fishing to even gardening. He enjoyed hunting deer, dove, wild hog and quail but most of all hunting turkey in Cotulla, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, parents and brothers. Barney is survived by his two sons, Gary Warman, Aubrey Price and wife Tammy; four grandchildren, Sandra Warman, Johnny Brzozowski, Nora Sue Thompson, Mathew Price and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and a funeral service Monday, October 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
