Benito Patino

Benito Patiño, 93, entered into eternal peace on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Briarwood nursing and rehabilitation center. Benito was born in Galveston, TX on November 11, 1922 to the late Pedro and Isabel Patiño.

Benito is preceded in death by his parents, son, Daniel Jesse Patiño, grandson, Joshua L. Rose, four brothers, and two sisters. He was a loving father and husband. He leaves his memories to be cherished by his loving wife, Inez G. Patiño. Benito and Inez would have celebrated 69 years of marriage on April 20, 2016. Benito is also survived by his brother, Joe Patiño and sister, Victoria Hernandez, sons, John Benny and Michael Anthony Patiño, daughters, Blanca Estella Pedraza and Elizabeth Patiño Ayala.

Grandchildren, John Benny Patiño Jr., Samuel Joel Pedraza, Felicia Pedraza, Jason E. Ayala, Jennifer A. (Ruben) Hernandez, Daniel Jesse (Sonia) Patiño Jr., Elizabeth R. (Joe) Ochoa, Victor Torres, Jessica Torres and Michael A. Patiño Jr. Benito had nineteen great grandchildren, and one great great-grandson.

Benito also had numerous nephews and nieces.

A private viewing for the family will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016, 4:00 to 5:00 pm. All others are invited to the viewing from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. This will all take place at Crespo’s Funeral Home at 4136 Broadway St. Houston, TX 77087, Phone: 713-644-3831.

Church services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016. At Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2405 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. There will be no viewing on Monday; everyone will meet at the church, where a mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center along with Heart to Heart hospice care for their support in dad’s final days.
