Bennie Dayne Turner, 83, of Porter, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2026. He was born in Kirby, Arkansas, on January 20, 1943, to parents Troy Turner and Berniece Ward Turner McMahan. Bennie graduated from Kirby High School and his family then soon moved to Houston. He met Cheryl Darlene Irwin in Houston where they lived as neighbors, fell in love, and then were married on January 25, 1963. Bennie had a long career as a Master Carpenter and was also a musician and played the drums which he loved. He owned his own company for 40+ years during which time he enjoyed creating and designing exquisite interior woodwork. Bennie had a deep passion for his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, the Lord, and his dog, Babygirl.
He loved old country music, gospel music, and bluegrass. He and his wife Cheryl would sit and listen to their favorite music for hours on end. Bennie was very patriotic and loved the United States of America.
He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Turner; his mother, Berniece Turner McMahan; and his twin brother, Lennie, as well as other siblings, Oscar, Michael, Randy, and Jana.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Turner; his daughters, Lana Senegal and Dusti Rawson; his sister, Lauretta; and his brother, Teddy. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Hannah, Hillary, Holly, Alexa, Sara, and Rebecca; his grandsons, Addison and Scotty; and his great-grandchildren, Claire, Audrey, Sarah, Eleanor, Zephyr, Harvey, Scotty III, Jax, and Madisyn as well as many other loved family members.
Pallbearers are Addison Ruddell, Britton Grasty, Scott Rawson Jr., Brett Sickles, Conor Kearns, Jonathan Hales. Honorary Pallbearers are, Scott Rawson Sr., and Gerard Senegal.
