Benny A. Gutierrez was born March 31, 1936 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Rudolph A. Gutierrez and Beatrice Gutierrez and passed away peacefully at his sons home in Cypress, Texas on August 13, 2024. Benny came to Christ in 1970 when he met his wife Judy Dunn, whom he affectionately called the Lil Sugar. Benny was a member of First Baptist Church Houston. When Benny became a Christian he never looked back. He has shared the gospel all over the world and was not ashamed. Benny was in the Army and the 82nd airborne. Benny loved being a veteran and serving his country. You could always find him at many military events and attending the funerals of all the veterans he knew in Houston. He loved jumping out of planes and loved to share stories about how he and his brothers would make their own parachutes and jump off small mountains in Albuquerque, New Mexico to test there durability. Besides his love for the military, Benny was an Electrical Engineer. His passion for his work was like everything else in his life, he was dedicated and never wavered in his commitment. Benny worked in Saudi Arabia, India, North Africa, Alaska and many other US States and countries. He received many awards for never missing a day of work. Benny loved the outdoors and being in the woods, shooting his numerous guns and just being apart of nature.
Benny has been united with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his bride of 48 years Judy and we are confident his is now healed ,can walk and jump out of planes in Heaven.
