To know BJ was to know laughter. He was funny, larger than life, creative, and never ordinary. He loved entertaining people, especially through music, and was always the one who could make everyone laugh—even at the most inappropriate times. His laugh was loud, unforgettable, and usually made everyone else laugh along with him.
BJ was an entrepreneur and a dreamer who put his creativity into everything he did. He created Sticky’s Chicken from the ground up, guiding its overall vision—from the concept and brand identity to the design of the food truck and restaurant, and the community that grew around it. He dreamed big, encouraged others to do the same, and always found a way to make things his own.
Above all, BJ loved his family. He was our shining star—the dreamer, motivator, and entertainer who made life more fun simply by being himself.
BJ is survived by his parents, Joy and Ceferino Vivares, and his sister, Patsy Vivares.
Life with BJ was filled with laughter, music, big ideas, and even bigger dreams. He was extraordinary, and so are the memories he leaves with us.
