Ms. Bernice Bentley

Bernice Bentley, born on March 27, 1957, in Alligator, Mississippi, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of those whose lives she touched. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Houston, Texas.

Bernice lived a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She had a beautiful spirit that brought joy to everyone she met. Known for her warm heart, infectious smile, and generous nature, Bernice had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. She truly loved with her whole heart and will be deeply missed.

Bernice retired from United Airlines in 2025 after 15 years of dedicated service. Her career perfectly complemented one of her greatest passions—travel. She loved exploring the world and created countless cherished memories with her beloved friend group, The Traveling Divas. Whether discovering new destinations or simply spending quality time with family and friends, Bernice embraced every opportunity to celebrate life.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Maxine Williams of Brown Deer, Wisconsin; her sister, Dorine Henning, her brother-in-law, Leroy Henning, and her nephew, Lerenz Henning, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her daughters, Terry Carter and son-in-law, Paul Carter, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Stephanie Clipps of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her son, Keywhaun Holmes of Las Vegas, Nevada; her beloved bonus daughter, Talisha Bentley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; six granddaughters and five grandsons, who brought immeasurable joy to her life; along with a host of loving relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

Bernice's legacy is one of love, kindness, strength, and adventure. She found happiness in seeing the world, creating lasting friendships, and surrounding herself with those she loved most. Her compassionate heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering love for her family will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Though she is no longer with us, Bernice's love, laughter, and beautiful memories will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
