Bertha V Medina, age 79, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away on May 26,2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Baldemar Sr. and Maria Vela; her husband Daniel F. Medina; her grandson Mark Anthony Villegas; her son Daniel Medina Jr.; and her brothers Raul Vela and Baldemar Vela Jr. and her sister Wanda (Vela) Castillo.
She is Survived by her daughter in law Rosa Medina; Children; Debra Villegas and her husband Louis, Delma Trevino and husband Tory, Desi Medina, Delia Martinez and husband Juan, David Medina and wife Perla.
She is also survived by her siblings Oscar Vela and wife Delia, Ricardo Vela, Ruben Vela and wife Nellie, Javier Vela and wife Laura, Veronica Davila, Leticia Wagener, 21 grandchildren , 20 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Born in Laredo Texas on April 10, 1946. Bertha graduated from Martin High school in 1964. She was married to Daniel F. Medina for 45 years. She was a housewife. She practiced her faith as a Jehovah witness for 54 years and was a regular pioneer for 26 years.

A service for Bertha will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM and the funeral will start at 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A final viewing will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
