Berva Irene Coatsworth

Berva I. Coatsworth devoted wife of James G. Coatsworth (predeceased.) Survived by Brother William V. Thomas, James W. Thomas, and Lloyd Thomas (predeceased.) Also, she is survived by brother-in-law Don and Linda Coatsworth. Berva leaves numerous Nieces and Nephews and her Canine Companion Rocky. Berva will be missed by her dear friend, Arnulfo Olayo and his family. Berva was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1920. She moved with her mother Jean B. McClement to join her father William E. Thomas and brothers in Detroit, Michigan. Berva worked at a large chemical company near Detroit and later moved with friends to San Antonio, Texas where she met Jim Coatsworth. They lived in Latin America and later moved to Mexico City. Ultimately, Berva and Jim moved to Houston, Texas, together building their estate in River Oaks. Berva traveled extensively, enjoyed interior decorating and The Arts. She will be missed by numerous friends and associates. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:00 am in the chapel at Forest Park Westheimer. Entombment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Memorial Mission Mausoleum.
