Bessie Jo Boggus

Bessie Jo Boggus departed this life in Weatherford, Texas on November 10, 2015 at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 10 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Guy and Alice Josephine Houston, her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert Judson Boggus Jr., 2 grandchildren, Courtney Michelle Congdon and Ernest Price Hurst,Jr. and 2 sisters, Helen McMillian and Clara Stubbs.

Bessie Jo is survived by 6 children- Dennis Boggus and wife Marilyn, Linda Thompson, Nancy Hurst, Carter Boggus and wife Becky, Mary Congdon and husband Jim and Robin Self .Survivors also include 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; two sisters, Ashley Wysong and Jacqueline Conces. A host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends will also grieve her absence.

Those who were blessed to know her have described her as loyal, caring, generous, kind-hearted, smart, bold, tenacious, witty, resourceful, honest, straight-forward, faithful and above all loving. Somewhere in Heaven's garden, another beautiful rose is in full bloom.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 2:00pm at Brookside Family Chapel and Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, November 17, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
