

Bessie Mae (Bess) White, age 81, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away peacefully Wednesday,April 26th after a brief illness. She was surrounded by several family members as she gained her angel wings and was met by GOD in heaven.
Bessie is preceded in death by her parents, Orley Raymond (O.R.) and Mary Louise White of Missouri City, Texas; her siblings Margie Engelke, Margaret (Bell) Medve, Darrell (Raymond) White, and Kenneth (Pooch) White.
Bessie is survived by her sisters Lavada Fuller of Missouri City, Texas and Diana Kure and husband Henry, of Brenham, Texas. Bessie also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members.
Bessie taught second grade for over 30 years in the Fort Bend ISD before retiring. Her love and passion for teaching touched the lives of many students. She inspired countless others to pursue and achieve their dreams. Her love, compassion, and joyous nature was contagious and spread to all those around her. There will be a void in many lives due to her absence.
The funeral service will be Sunday, April 30, at Forest Park Westheimer under the direction of nephew and licensed pastor, Kenneth White. Visitation will be from noon to 1 P.M. with the service starting at 1 P.M. Burial will be on Monday, May 1, at 1 P.M. at Forest Park Westheimer. Forest Park Westheimer is located at 12800 Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas.
In honor of Bessie’s long time love of children, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
