Betty Berry Anderson

Betty Anderson was born December 5, 1927 in Galveston, Texas to Allen and Bernice Berry. Betty was a long time resident of Houston, Texas. She was very active in the Long Point Baptist Church teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Betty also enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally with friends. Her Friday Night Group met weekly for dinner and spirited games of dominos or cards.

Mrs. Betty Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Ray N. Anderson Jr.; parents; brother, Eugene Berry; sister, Leona Piel; and half-brother, Bill Legate. She leaves behind her son, Randy Anderson and wife Jo Ellen of Houston, TX; daughter, Alisa Anderson and partner Gary Gray of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Jennifer Young and husband Mike of Houston, TX, Beverly Hamilton of Austin, TX, Shawn De Leon and husband Javi of Houston, TX; great-grandsons, Barrett Hamilton of Austin, TX, Ryan and Luke De Leon of Houston, TX; and other extended family members.

The Anderson family would like to give a special thanks to Lotus Hospice and Cupic’s Companions staff who took great care of her in her finals days of life.

Family viewing and a graveside for Betty will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Betty’s name to the SPCA or a charity of your choice.
