Betty Lavada Diemert, 82, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Betty was born in Gladewater, TX on March 4, 1940 to parents Josephine Sypert Duncan and James David Duncan. She met Richard Charles Diemert in Houston, TX and married on August 28, 1958. They spent 43 wonderful years together. Betty had a career at Barrick Elementary School H.I.S.D. for 15 years. Betty had a passion for gardening, cooking, and dancing.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Charles Diemert; parents Josephine and James Dave Duncan.
She is survived by her son Randy Diemert (Charlotte Albright Diemert); daughter Sherry Garza (Andy Garza); granddaughter Amber Diemert and Amanda Diemert; sister Mavis Arrington; nieces Carrie Rolfes and Penny Jo Arrington Carleton.
Visitation for family and friends begin on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The funeral service is to follow and begin promptly at 10:30 AM in the Grand Chapel followed by burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Randy Diemert, Andy Garza, Tyler Guentter, Adam Jakle, Roy Garza and Rodger Durant.
