Betty M Dorrance, a beloved resident of Crosby, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on February 21, 1942, Betty was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
She is survived by her children, Ronda Plunkett and husband David Sr., Ellis Ronald Dorrance Jr. and wife Deborah, and Ronald Ellis Dorrance and wife Diane. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, David Plunkett Jr. and wife Bonnie, Tiffany Thomasson and husband Troy, Chamberlyn Garcia, Heather Svab and husband John, Ellis James Dorrance and wife Mabry, and Randa Trejo and husband Armando. Betty was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Ty Plunkett, Tori and Taylor Thomasson, Lauren and Hannah Svab, Cristian, Brandon, and Andrew Garcia, Astrid and Osiris Trejo, and is eagerly awaited by Ellie Marie Dorrance.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Ronald Dorrance Sr., her parents, JR and Emma Crone, her brothers, Johnny and Billy Crone, and her daughter, Laura Ann DeLaPaz. She will be dearly missed by her special friend, Robert Koslosky Jr.
A visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, on November 17, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow immediately from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, officiated by Bill Guice. Interment will take place at Brookside Memorial Park from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Pallbearers honoring Betty will be Ellis Ronald Dorrance Jr., Ellis James Dorrance, David Plunkett Jr., Ty Plunkett, Cristian Garcia, Brandon Garcia, and Heberto (Junior) Garcia.
Betty M Dorrance's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish her loving spirit and the beautiful moments shared together.
