Betty Noretta “Rita” Knowles, 75, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2013. A lover of all flowers, Rita was a Harris County Master Gardener for five years and she loved gardening and spending time at the family’s country get-away outside of Fayetteville, Texas. She also liked supporting all of her grandchildren at their little league baseball and football games, as well as swim meets. She was also a member of Memorial Church of Christ Congregation.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bobby G Knowles; son, Kevin Knowles; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Curt Frank; three grandsons, Austin, Cole, and Cameron, and one granddaughter, Shelby Knowles, all of Houston. She is also survived by her sister Marie Hendricks and husband Dwight of Plano, Texas; sister Joanna Tempenny and husband Steve of Keller, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, December 27,2013 from 5-7pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A celebration of Rita’s Life will be Saturday, December 28,2013 at 3pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Oaks Funeral Home is located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77079.
