Betty was born in Nordheim, Texas to Corwin and Jane Voelkel on March 29, 1930.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Lee and grandson, Matthew McDonald.
She is survived by her children, Robin Held and husband Ed, Becky Key and husband Doyle, Kathy McDonald and husband Ken, and Nancy Mikolajchak and husband Steven; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
We want to thank Mom’s family and friends at the Serenity Assisted Living in Katy, Texas for the constant care and love they have given mom over the years.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 starting at 10:00 am, and a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Oak Forest Baptist Church 1700 W 43rd St, Houston, TX 77018. A reception will be held at noon also at the church.
