I have many beautiful memories of my mom, but what I remember the most is that when I would call her, she would always say, "Hi baby girl!" I miss her calling me that everyday. She always made me feel special and loved. What a blessing to have such a precious soul for a mom! I am grateful that she us with Jesus, but I do miss her dearly.

I will be forever grateful to Betty for the care and love she gave to my father during the 36 years they were married. Betty devoted herself to my father, lending not only her crucial emotional support, but also providing seemingly endless hours of physical support by taking him to the hospital, bringing him the things he needed in the hospital, talking to nurses and doctors relentlessly, and bringing him back home again where she continued caring for him by cooking meals and running both the household and the family business. My father was in a wheelchair for the last 22 years of his life, suffered from dementia for many years, and was in and out of the hospital so many times that it's impossible to know the number of hospital stays he had. Rarely does a person witness this kind of devotion, and I count myself a fortunate stepdaughter indeed. I so wish we could have just one more conversation. I’d be sure to thank Betty one more time for all that she did for my father. I’m trusting that Betty is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ., and I thank Him for bringing her into my life!
