

Beverly Bryant Kennerly passed away on Friday, July 13th peacefully with her devoted Home Instead Senior Caregivers and dear friend Sandy Kelly by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ples B. Kennerly Jr. of Houston, her father E. Sterling Bryant, and her mother Mary Hellen (Gary) Bryant. She is survived by her cousin’s Robert McCuistion; Lubbock, Bernice Porter Paul; Brownwood, Annie Bernice Spann; Madison, MS, Loyce Gary; Arlington, Kenneth Bryant, Waxahachie, Lillian Watkins; Bloomingrove, second cousins Shirley Hensley; Denton, John Hays; Winona, Judy Hays, Houston, and Shereen Till; Katy. Born on the 13th day of December 1918, Beverly graduated from Baylor University with an education degree in 1940. After taking a business course, she was employed by Humble Pipeline Co. in Houston now ExxonMobil from 1943 until her retirement in 1980. She was a long time member of South Main Baptist Church. Beverly was passionate about family history, genealogy and preservation of old things. She was a member of Lady Washington Chapter, United Daughters of the American Revolution, and Jefferson Davis Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy. She also belonged to the Heritage Society, West University Place Historical Society, and various genealogical societies. Through the ExxonMobil Retiree Service Organization she gave of her time and talents many years at M.D. Anderson making patients’ families craft kits. With her father and husband being Masons and Shriners, Beverly was a member of the Houston Chapter #385 Order of the Eastern Star. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home at 10:00a.m.. Immediately following will be a graveside service. Contributions in Beverly’s memory may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
