Bichthu Thi King

Bich ”Thu” Thi King, age 53, was born in Saigon, Vietnam on August 5, 1958 and died on January 14, 2012. Thu graduated from U of H and spent most of her career with Dynergy; Enron, Duke Energy, Shell Trading Company and Reliant Energy. Some of the happiest times in her life were spent in Malaysia. Thu was very active in the church and close to graduating from the spiritual direction program at the Cenacle in Houston. She enjoyed photography, traveling and hiking. Thu was a devoted member of St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land. She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Lam and survived by her loving husband Allan W. King; daughter, Nathalie Dang; son, Gabriel Dang; mother, Betty Lam; sisters, Thao, Tho; brothers, Tony Thai Lam, Danny Thanh Lam, Thong Lam; nieces, Jennifer Nguyen, Stephanie Nguyen, Alison Nguyen and nephew, Christopher Lam. She will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends and co-workers. Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 19th from 4-9 PM with a Vietnamese prayer service at 7 PM, Friday, January 20th from 9-9 PM with a Catholic Rosary at 6:30 PM. The funeral mass will be held, Saturday, January 21st at 11:30 AM. St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Serving as Pallbearers: Tony Thai Lam, Danny Thanh Lam, Thong Lam, Liem Nguyen, Vinh Nguyen, Gabriel Dang and Allan King.
