

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth E. & Otha Mize; husbands, W.C. Cornelius and Jack H. Echols; sons, W.C. “Bubba” Cornelius and Weldon Chris “Butch” Cornelius.
Her memory will be cherished by her survivors, Linda Jean Adkins & spouse Ken Adkins, Dorothy R. “Cookie” Downs, Keith Echols & spouse Gale Echols, Kenneth Echols & spouse Darla Echols; Grandchildren, Kenneth Adkins, Jr. & spouse Myra Lee Adkins, Keith Adkins, Robin Cornelius, John Cornelius, David Downs, Christa Molan, Ryan Echols, Christina Orta & spouse Mike Orta, Kelley Cornelius, William Cornelius, Stacie Aplin, Justin Johnson; Great-grandchildren, Trace Adkins, Wilson Adkins, Rylee Cornelius, Kenneth Torres-Orta, Travis Stewert Orta, Caleb Orta, Cash Molan, Dallas Molan, Tess Molan, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Billie loved her career as a hairstylist and owner of Billie Jean’s Hair & Wig Designs. She was a longtime member of Shady Acres Baptist Church. Her passion for life included many interest including Flowers, Singing, Dancing, Roller skating, Cooking, Fishing, Traveling, Cruising and helping others. She will be missed by many who loved her.
All services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 from 6:00- 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 am. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am., with the Committal Service immediately following.
