Billie Sue Hollingsworth

Billie Sue Musgrove Hollingsworth, 87, of Houston, Texas. She Joined her heavenly Father on, December 9, 2013. Billie was a native Houstonian, born March 14, 1926. Billie leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Pam Diamont and Husband Gene, Debbie Smiley and husband Wayne; Son, Bernie Hollingsworth and wife Pam. 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Billie was a faithful member of Chapelwood UMC and found strength and comfort in the Lords word. She was an accomplished dancer, starting lessons in tap and ballet at the age of 3 and continued to amaze us with her fancy foot work into her golden years with her loving husband and favorite dance partner Joe. Some of her fondest memories were made traveling with her husband and family, spending time in the Galveston Bay house, and telling her family stories over holiday dinners. Billie was an amazing hostess and entertainer and there was never a dull moment in her presence. Billie graduated from Jeff Davis high school and then attended business school. She met the love of her life Joe Hollingsworth while participating in ballroom and Adagio dancing. They were married for 63 years. Billie was a member of Houston Chapter Delphians, The Harrisberg Rotary Anns and Chapelwood UMC. Bille Sue was a passionate loving soul that will be missed by many and remembered by all. There will be a funeral service held at 10:30 am on Dec. 13th. at Chapelwood UMC with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. A private interment will take place after the reception.
