Billie Jo Powell

She leaves behind to mourn, her beloved husband of 55 years Leon Powell, cherished daughter Tricia Powell, sisters Pearline Evans Hatten and husband Earl, Christie Poche, brother Donnie Dertinger, sister‐in‐law Ruth Tylich and partner Kevin Bankerd, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great‐nephews.

Billie was predeceased by her father Edgar Joe Dertinger, mother Bertha Owanna Dertinger, sister Lisa Culpepper, and brother James Dertinger .

Billie and Leon particularly enjoyed many travel adventures with her dear cousin Ruth and husband Jerry Eakin.

Always ready with a smile, a generous heart and a dish of delicious food, Billie will be missed by many friends and family.

Memorial service to be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038, January 11, 2025 at 1pm. Officiants: Brother Ricky Edwards and wife Sally. Urn to be interred at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038, January 13, 2025 at 1pm.
