Billy Edger West passed away April 30, 2012. He was born on December 30, 1927 in Ada, OK. Billy attended White Oak High School in Longview, TX and Baylor University, where he played football in 1945. Billy served his country in the US Army from 1946-1948. He worked as everything from oilfield roughneck to owner of Petro Equipment X-Change Inc. Billy was a member of Nomads, IADC and the Masons. He enjoyed golf, crafts and do it yourself projects. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Willie West; brother, James West; sister, Louise Coneybear and a grandson, Stevie Stone. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Proctor West; daughter Wynette Stone and husband, Steve; son, Randy West and wife, Norma; grandchildren, Stefani Fitzgerald and husband, Curtis, Jena and Blake West and great-grandchildren, Stone and Tripp Fitzgerald. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012, 10 am in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice .
