Bob was born in Houston, TX to Robert Alan and Eunis Gibbs White on June 24, 1937. Bob grew up in Houston and graduated from Milby High School. He attended the University of Houston, Sam Houston University and later came to Abilene to attend Abilene Christian University.
Bob spent many years in Abilene and was a presence on the ACU campus as Bob Kool. He loved interacting with students and participating in all the events on and around campus.
He also enjoyed spending time at his farm in Fayette County in South Texas. Bob was a huge movie fan, especially those from the 1940's and old westerns. He loved to travel, play chess and entertain people.
Bob is survived by many cousins and friends who will miss his sense of fun and quirky humor.
Bob’s celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 24th at 11AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX, 77077. He will be laid to rest next to his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to ACU.
