Bobbie Ann Carlton passed away after a short battle with pneumonia on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 61. Bobbie was a wonderful mom, grandma, and aunt who loved her family dearly. She was affectionately known as Meme and Aunt Bobbie by many who loved her.
Bobbie was born in Houston, Texas on November 19, 1962. She spent her younger years traveling between Texas and Alabama, where her parents were from and where her grandparents and extended family lived. Bobbie grew up playing softball at the Oaks Dads Club. After high school she couldn’t wait to start a family. She married and then had her daughter Tiffany in 1982. Bobbie often said her whole heart felt complete after Tiffany was born. When her grandchildren Mason and Ellie were born, she was overjoyed and felt an even greater purpose: to be the best Meme. Along with her partner, Cheryl, Bobbie enjoyed spoiling her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Bobbie began working for the Bergen Brunswig Corporation in 1989. During her almost 35 years of service, she held many positions, traveled frequently from Houston to Tennessee, and made lifelong friends.
Bobbie possessed many great qualities, but none were more admirable than her selflessness. She had a knack for making you feel like the most special person in the room. She was an amazing listener and even better at giving advice. She loved with her whole heart: truly and deeply. She believed that everyone should do what they love and made you feel like you could do the impossible.
Bobbie loved to be outside, in the sunshine, near the water. She also loved to craft and cook. She was known for her famous banana pudding, which she made for every holiday and special occasion. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She often decorated early and took great pride in finding the perfect gift for everyone she loved. She was her family’s greatest gift.
The family requests donations made to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in her memory.
