Bobby Wayne Austin

May 24, 1975 – January 29, 2021
Obituary of Bobby Wayne Austin
IN THE CARE OF

Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park

Bobby Wayne Austin, age 45, of Humble, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 29, 2021. He was born May 24, 1975 in Seoul, South Korea to parents James Austin and Mona Storey.

Bobby was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy in which he served 3 different commands, one of which was the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Bobby was a Customer Service Specialist at Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas.

Bobby was proud of his college education. He earned his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Network Systems Administration from ITT Technical Institute in Houston, TX in March 2015, his Associate of Science Degree in Cybersecurity from Pensacola State College in Pensacola, FL in August 2019, and was expected to graduate with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybersecurity from Western Governor’s University this September.

When Bobby wasn’t working or studying he loved watching sports especially football. You could bet he’d be rooting for his favorite College team, the Clemson Tigers or his NFL team, the Carolina Panthers. You might also hear about the texts going on between his dad and his brother when the Army/Navy football game was going on.

However, Bobby was most proud of his son Walter. There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t talk about how much he loved him and how proud he was of how Walter was growing up.

Bobby leaves behind his son Walter Austin, his father James Austin and stepmother, Vickie, brother Ronnie Austin and wife Sherry, mama Helen Gulledge, long time girlfriend Rachael Frasier, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandmother Edna Wells.

A private family service was held on February 1, 2021.
