

Bobby Leonard Hillegeist, age 74, was born on August 4, 1937 in Houston, TX. He passed away on September 28, 2011. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; Cora and Guy Hillegeist and his brother, John Hillegeist. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Evelyn, daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Hillegeist and son, Clark Matthew Hillegeist, sister-in-law, Virginia Hillegeist, his nephew, Clay Hillegeist and wife Stacy and their children, his niece, Courtney Reuter and her husband, Arthur and their children.
Bob graduated from Baylor University in 1959 with a BBA, and served in the US Army reserves. Prior to opening Hillbro Products & Systems Inc. with his brother and served as President for 33 years, Bob worked for Ford Motor Company for 13 years. He was recognized by the Marquis who’s who Publication Board of the South and Southwest for outstanding achievement in his chosen field.
Bob was also involved in Little League Baseball serving as coach/ manager for his son and son’s friend for many years. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his larger than life personality and sense of humor. He loved BBQ’ing, playing dominos, hunting, fishing, reading and watching sports.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bob’s name to the American Diabetes Association Research, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
