Bobby Lee Irwin

Bobby Lee Irwin of Coldsprings, TX passed away July 31st, 2024 at the ripe age of 88. Born the 3rd child of 6 to Wilmer and Pearl Irwin. He touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his kindness, humor and unwavering love, and dedication to his loved ones. As a young teenager, Bobby met the love of his life, Helen Ruth Mikeska, whom on August 25th, 1954 he married. The two of them went on to share a beautiful life and family. Welcoming 2 children, 3 granddaughters, and 4 great granddaughters. Bobby worked over 30 years driving a delivery truck and doing installations for the industrial gas company, Liquid Carbonic. He had a passion for cactus, reading old westerns novels, traveling, eating steak and potatoes, and gambling. But his true passion was telling stories. He loved to sit outside in his chair reading, napping, or just thinking. He would be outside all day long piddling around with something. Bobby was a master of rigging things together to make them work and was ALWAYS fixing something that wasn’t broke. He could be referred to as a jack of all trades but master of none.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Helen Irwin. Both of his children Bobby Lawerence and Lawana Cathleen Irwin. His Parents Wilmer James and Pearl Irene Irwin. Brothers Richard, Donnie, and Danny Irwin.

He is survived by his Grandchildren Tiffiney McGee, Brittani Nation and spouse Kelsey, Halie Vaughn and spouse Emilio, Great Granddaughters Rebekkah, Lilianna, Brielle and Kinsley.

Siblings Cheryl Turner and spouse Bennie, Hayden Irwin and spouse Bunny. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers Bobby Arthur, Gray Smith, Richard Irwin Jr., Emilio Hernandez, Kelsey Nation, and Nicholas Sphaler.

As we say our goodbyes to Bobby, let us remember the love, laughter, and precious moments we shared together. May their memory live on in our hearts forever and we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace.

A visitation with the family for Bobby will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the funeral service at 1:00 PM in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A graveside service following funeral service will occur Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
