Bobby Joe Martindill,age 74,of Leander,Texas passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born May 17,1950 in Columbus,Ohio to parents Edward and Fannie Vivian (Smith) Martindill. When Bob was still a child, the family moved to Houston, where he spent most of his life.
After high school, Bob enlisted in the Navy. He was on the USS Hornet when it was used as the recovery ship for the Apollo 11 astronauts. After returning home, he attended San Jacinto College and began a career in electronics. A few years ago, Bob left Houston and moved to Leander to be closer to family.
Bob is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Gary Martindill. He is survived by his brother Edward (Lucy) Martindill, his niece Angie (Dave) Michelsen, his nephews Ryan (Julie) Martindill and Jonathan (Andrea) Martindill, and his great nephews Cole, Asher, Max, Jonathan and Jackson.
Bob led a simple life. He was content watching his favorite TV shows and spending time with family. He will be missed.
