

Houston, Texas—Bobbye Campbell, a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and fervent prayer warrior, passed away on August 18, 2024. She was 89 years old.
Bobbye was born in Waco in 1935 to Elmer and Nettie (Byrne) Taylor. She spent most of her entire life in the Texas that she loved. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She believed in the power of prayer and dedicated countless hours to interceding for others. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many.
As a homemaker, Bobbye created a warm and welcoming home for her family. She poured love into every meal, every corner of the house, and every conversation. Her husband of 57 years, John Campbell, was her partner in life, and together they built a strong foundation of love and commitment.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all her seven siblings.
She is survived by her husband John; her daughter Jacquelen Campbell; son Taylor Campbell and his wife Helen; stepson David Campbell and his wife Lia; grandchildren Alana Campbell, Julianne Campbell, Merritt Murphy and her husband Justin Murphy, and Emiline Ritchie. As well as numerous great-grandchildren and nieces.
Bobbye’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family. She was an active member of Nassau Bay Baptist Church and offering comfort to those in need. Her unwavering trust in God inspired others to seek solace and strength in their own faith journeys.
In her free time, Bobbye enjoyed tending to her garden, where she found peace and connection with nature. Her flowers bloomed vibrantly, mirroring the beauty she brought to the lives of those around her. She enjoyed cooking and fed a feast to whomever came over.
Bobbye Campbell leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial service will be held at Nassau Bay Baptist Church in Clear Lake at a later date.
