Bonita Lovelle Nelson-Smith, 91, born November 12, 1921, went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2013. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Calvin Nelson, Sr.; second husband, James R. Smith. Bonita is survived by her sons: Willard Calvin Nelson, Jr., of Houston, Texas; Stephen C. Nelson, of Woodville, Texas; her daughter, Lovelle Arnold, of Hempstead, Texas; step-son, James Smith of Altus, Oklahoma, John Smith of Pasadena, Texas, Justin Smith of Woodville, Texas, ; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Bonita was a faithful and supportive wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-8PM on Thursday August 15, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Friday, August 16, 2013. Both services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
