Bonnie Jean Damen
December 14, 1946 – June 2, 2021
DAMEN, Bonnie Jean (Vann) age 74, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in Houston, Texas. She was a graduate of Western Hills High School in 1964. Bonnie was a member of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by husband William Allen “Bill” Damen, Sr; her son William Allen “Billy” Damen, Jr; her parents Granville Boyd “Jim” and Dorothy Jean (Muse) Vann; daughter Lisa Marie Damen; and grandson William Alexander Meador. She is survived by her three daughters Angie Damen, Becky Damen, and Susan (Damen) Meador; son-in-law Derek Meador; her brothers Denny and David Vann; sister Kathy (Vann) Mullins and brother-in-law Greg Mullins.
She was known to her 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as “Grandma Bunny”, a nickname she loved. As a teen her free time was spent at the roller-skating rink where she made great friends that she stayed in close contact with until her death. She loved to line dance, and you could catch her dancing any time country music was playing. She loved to help her daughter Susan with the family’s Ancestry research, and she was proud of her Native American Heritage. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 9, 2021, at Beacon of Christ Church (formerly Dent Baptist Church), 6384 Harrison Avenue with Rev. Greg Mullins officiating. Music will be coordinated by Bonnie’s sister Kathy and Kathy’s husband Greg Mullins. Burial at St. Joseph New Cemetery
