Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Carter Farnsworth and Mereadus Roller, Brad grew up alongside his brother, Rand. He earned his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University, sparking a lifelong and frequently tested devotion to CSU football, and later his MBA from Harvard University.
Brad spent 21 years at Spencer Stuart as a partner and executive recruiter, finding exactly the right person for the job. He leaves behind a position no one will ever be qualified to fill.
His proudest role was Dad. He supported his kids through every stage of growing up, even the questionable ones, and usually with good humor.
Splitting his time between Houston and Bend, Oregon, Brad loved fly fishing, collecting bourbon and wine, watching horse racing, and rooting for the long shot. Above all, he loved his rescue dogs, who considered themselves the true heads of the household.
Brad is survived by his daughter, Sally Farnsworth (Lexington, KY); son Thomas Farnsworth and his wife, Olivia (Midland, TX); grandchildren Sam and Sullivan Farnsworth; brother Rand Farnsworth; niece Kim Farnsworth and nephew Eric Farnsworth (Denver, CO); and his dogs Felipe, Chief, and Stubby, who are sure he'll be back any minute with treats.
He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Farnsworth, on January 28, 2017.
He was also preceded by his beloved dogs Penny and Ace, surely waiting at the gate, tails wagging.
A service will be held in Houston, with details to be announced.
