  Sorry to say that I had not even seen a picture of Brian since he was a little guy. I can tell by the comments and pictures that he was a very special person and loved his family so much. It looks like you did an amazing job raising him. My heart breaks for you and Kathy and his wife Susan and little Brice. There are so many things I want to say but words cannot begin to tell you how very sorry I am. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily.

My heart goes out to you for knowing how proud and how much you loved Brian. Brian always put a smile on my face every morning that I came to work at your shop.  He loved teasing me, his playful pranks, always beaming w/that cute smile of his. It amazed me that such a young kid was so witty. When you moved to Houston I have often wondered if he kept his childhood ways of making everyone know that he did care about them. After reading ppl's messages of him as an adult. It is obvious he kept his charm. I'm so sorry for your lose. A wise man once said before he left earth, I will be able to help and be w/you more once I have left here. I hope this brings you all some peace during such a terrible time. Fred you know I'll always be here for you if you want to talk. He was blessed to have such a wonderful  father as yourself. While it is only distance that can keep me physically away, our hearts are not bound by time and distance, and I will certainly be joined with each of you tomorrow as we come together to celebrate Brian's life.  Although it is very cold and dreary here in Michigan, I expect to feel the warmth and the sunshine as it radiates throughout our country and touches all of us who have been touched by him. Brian used to join us for pick up Basketball at Southside park in Houston; he was in his teens then.  He was a force to be reckoned with on the court - equal parts of athleticism, invention and youthful abandon; always a smile on his face....whimsical and full of life.  Now I see the pictures of a man who was confident, fulfilled and happy in his role as husband and father; and for that we can all be thankful to have known him. Dearest Susan, there are no words right now that I can say, other than to tell you, I am praying for you and Brice, that you will be comforted and get peace of mind through our Lord. Brian was such a rare person, both of you, radiated so much love and happiness. I have missed talking to you, but my thoughts and prayers are always there. I have  3 other very strong women, 1 of which lost her husband, praying for you. Hold on to the memory, try not to get too angry, we don't understand why, but there has to be a reason for this. What, or why, I don't know, like you, questions we will not know till we see him again. If ever you need something, never hesitate. I loved both of you, and you lost a wonderful husband who once said to me, he had all he wanted, you. He was and is still a rare gem. He was also a great friend to my son son and wife, both of who love you and him very much. There are many like him that love you. Let your friends help you. Never try to deal with this alone, and remember God says He will never leave you or forsake you. He can be your love and strength, if you ask. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss and again for Brice. I only knew Brian for a short time. He just finished a job for us at GE in Atlanta. I am truly sorry for your loss as Brian seemed like an outstanding person. I can usually tell alot about a person in the first few minutes that I meet them and I can tell you Brian was a fine person.
