Bruce F. Greek, age 85, passed peacefully with his family beside him on March 5, 2012, in Houston, Texas. He was born on December 8, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio. Bruce received his Bachelor of Science from Case Western Reserve and his Master of Science from University of Pittsburgh. He moved to Houston in 1955 and began working for Chemical and Engineering News, and retired in 1991 as Houston Bureau Chief. Bruce was a proud member of the American Chemical Society, Toastmasters International, Houston Philatelic Society, and The Houston Civil War Round Table. He also enjoyed history and stamp collecting. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Greek; parents, Coral Faber Greek and Hazel Greek; and sister, Marilyn Ress. He is survived by his son, Henry F. Greek and wife Sharron. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Thur. 3/8 with a funeral service in the main Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer on Fri 3/9 at 2PM, interment to follow. A reception will be held inside the funeral home from 3 to 5 PM.
