Buford Marlin Welch, 82 of Houston, Texas passed away on January 4th 2017 at Memorial Hermann - Medical Center. He was born on March 30, 1934 to Burtis and Ada (Carlile) Welch in Troup, TX. He spent the first part of his life in East Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana and the latter in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. He had a strong passion for Work, Sports, Beating the Odds at the "Puppy Track", and Supporting Others with quiet acts of giving.
He was a Brother, Athlete, Valedictorian, Army Veteran, 40 Year Entrepreneur, "Keeper of Records", Partner, Father and Friend.
Buford was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Carolyn Miller and Sue Wilcox, and his eldest son Buford "Jeff" Welch.
He is survived by his brother, Tony Welch, sisters, Rachel Wheeler & Linda Miller, son, Mike Welch and his wife Stacy, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
