Carey Joyce Miles

Carey Joyce Miles of Houston, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30th, 2024. Carey is survived by her husband of 29 years, George Miles, her two sons Chez Justin Garcia and his wife Amber Deniece Garcia and Christopher Jordan Garcia and his wife Christie Renea Garcia and seven grandchildren: Katelyn Thomley, Ty Reese, Zoe Garcia, Hailey Young, Caden Garcia, Alexander Garcia, and Madison Garcia.

Carey was born November 4, 1964 in Panama and relocated to Houston Texas as a young child. Carey loved to be outdoors, and she loved to travel. Travel was her passion, it even led her to pursue a career at Continental Airlines where she worked for eleven years and made many friendships during her time there. She loved her trips to Germany, Hawaii, Garner State Park, and to the Comal River where she enjoyed a lazy float.

Carey was an animal lover, and she never met a cat or dog that she didn’t love. She would take in any stray and spare no expense to keep them safe, healthy and happy. She had so many cats over the years and ran through so many names for them that she even named one Number 2!

She loved family get-togethers and decorating for Christmas was her favorite! When the grandchildren were little she bought a life size Mr. Grinch for the kids to dance with. Of course any family get together always revolved around food, and she always bought enough to feed an army; but to be honest, we loved every bit of that! She could often be found enjoying a movie with the family; although, if you put on Alien or Jaws, she was sure to fall right to sleep.

Fifty nine years will never be long enough for the love that Carey had to give, but we will cherish every memory we have of her. She will be missed more than she could ever believe. We love you Carey.
