Carlos Antonio Mero

Carlos Antonio Mero, age 69, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, after suffering from cancer. Carlos is survived by his wife of 35 years, Katherine Mero, his daughters Karla Herrejon, and Claire Foley, his son Carlos Mero, his grandchildren Natalia Herrejon, Sebastion Herrejon, Ariana Herrejon, Anthony Foley and Elizabeth Foley, and his great grandchildren Athena Wilson and Damian Herrejon.

Carlos was born in Manta, Ecuador and grew up in Panama. He came to the United States as a young man and joined the army, serving for 6 years in the 82nd Airborne division. He was very proud of his service and loved parachute jumping.

Carlos loved life, and his family was his first love. Known as the 'go to guy', he would do anything for his family. He was very loving and supportive, and always ready to help out.

Carlos enjoyed his hobbies. His favorite was refereeing soccer matches, which he did for many years. He also coached his children's youth soccer teams. Another hobby he enjoyed was growing plants, including orchids, roses, succulents, cacti, and more. He had quite a green thumb.

Carlos was a very kind, warm person. For anyone he encountered he had a smile, a positive word, and if he knew you, a big hug
