Carmen Fernandez

Carmen Fernandez, age 63, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Carmen was born July 6, 1958 to Carmela Fernandez and Benito Fernandez. Carmen is survived by her daughter Sheilla Daly (Michael Daly); and her son Christian Perez; her siblings Leticia Ayarzagoitia, Flora Fernandez, Jesus Fernandez and Valdemar Fernandez; her grandchildren Maddie Daly, Kattie Daly, Sammie Daly and Bennie Daly. Carmen was preceded in death by her mother Carmela Fernandez and her father Benito Fernandez; her siblings Mercedes Fernandez, Paula Fernandez, Emilio Benito Jr. Fernandez and Valentin Fernandez. Carmen was known by everyone to have a passion for life and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cherished her dog Bayley. In her free time, she would collect anything and everything Mickey Mouse themed that she would come across, listen to her favorite artist REO Speedwagon, and loved to cook. During her favorite holiday, Carmen loved to showcase her Christmas light decorations every year and brought joy to those who would stop by to watch. Most importantly she was a tough fighter who never let her lack of sight get the best of her situation. A visitation for Carmen will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A rosary will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A burial will occur Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Morales Cemetery, 912 Buschong St, Houston, TX 77039.
