Carmen was married to Arpad Kiss Sr. for 60 years, and spent that time as a dedicated mother and grandmother to her loving family. She had a passion for board games, missionaries, but most of all, her family was her true passion. Carmen was also an amazing cook, she was famous for many delicious dishes. She enjoyed to feed the church missionaries and the police officers at her home. She gave cake decorating classes and made beautiful wedding cakes for people.
She is survived her loving husband Arpad Kiss, children Magdalena Broadhead and husband David, Arpad Kiss Jr., Alex Kiss and wife Mary Kay, grandchildren Maison Broadhead and wife Pamela, and Valen Broadhead, Brandice Broadhead, Elizabeth Kiss, Jonathan Kiss, Tricia Schultz and husband Jimmy, and Zach Kiss, great-grandchildren Trevor and Olivia Schultz, and brothers and sisters Rosa Czodli, Estela Martinez, Ismael Islas, and Roberto Islas, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents Ismael and Bernadina Islas, her sister Yolanda Sanchez, and grandson Adrian Broadhead.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday July 31, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. within the chapel at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston Texas 77038. The funeral service will take place directly after, beginning at 11:00 a.m. inside of American Heritage. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston Texas 77038.
