

Carol was born on February 8, 1950, in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Calhoun High School and went on to build a long and dedicated career as a pharmacy technician, working for Kmart for many years. Through her work, she was known for her kindness, reliability, and willingness to help others.
Carol shared 55 loving years of marriage with her husband, Hector Luis Gonzalez. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and devotion. Carol’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She also had a passion for gardening and dancing, activities that reflected her warmth and vibrant spirit.
She is survived by her children, Carol Rena Gonzalez and Hector Luis Gonzalez Jr.; and her granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Gonzalez and Alexis Marie Gonzalez, who will forever cherish her love, guidance, and gentle strength.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 9 at American Heritage Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Carol’s life and legacy.
Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
A visitation will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, on February 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm.
The committal service is scheduled at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm on the same day.
A reception will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
