Carol L. Granger

Carol graduated from CE King High School and devoted her working years to C.E. King High School, serving as a snack bar lady to be near her children. Later, she transferred to a teacher’s Aide at Monahan Elementary to be near her grandchildren. In the rhythms of everyday life, she found lasting joy in spending time with her family and—time spent gardening, working puzzles, enjoying games, and reading—pursuits that reflected her thoughtful nature and the calm, attentive way she moved through the world.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Melva Lane; her brother, Jerry Lane; and her sister, Janette (Lane) Owens.

Her memory lives on through her children, Farley Granger and his wife Missy (Welfl) Granger, Stuart Granger, and Deanna (Granger) Hackathorn and her husband Johnny Hackathorn; grandchildren, Daniel Granger and his wife Kim (Sullivan)  Granger, Shara Granger, and Katie (Granger)  Laramore & her husband Ty Laramore; great grandchildren, Owen Granger, Ty Granger, and Audrey Laramore; her sister, Donna (Lane) Gray and her husband Gary Gray.

Her beautiful smile will be missed and forever treasured in those she’s left behind. Until they meet again.

A graveside service will be held at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, on June 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
