Carol Lee Preston

Carol Lee Preston was born on June 1, 1947 in Houston, TX. She is the third born of six children to Jack and Ola Johnson.

Carol attended schools in HISD and was employed by the Houston Police Department as a Police Service Officer until her retirement in the year 2004.

Carol had many hobbies such as gardening (tomatoes specifically), sewing, watching her granddaughters sing karaoke, watching anime and chasing men with long hair in her motorized wheelchair.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Monica, sons: Floyd Jr. and Michael. granddaughters Yukia (Fernando), Kaylah, Taroya, Genesis, and Mercedes, grandsons Qualin and Myles, a brother, Osburn, two sisters, Jean and Patricia (Okey), nieces Lisa, Stephanie, Tashira (Larry), Monique, Beatrice, and Oluchi, nephews, Terrell, Joseph Jr. (aka Catfish), Okay, Madu, cousins Mary Bowie and Billie Haynes, along with numerous relatives, friends, family including her HPD family.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jack and Ola; husband, Floyd Sr., and brothers, James and Joseph Johnson.

A visitation for Carol will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
