Carol Ann Valverde passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, after a courageous 10-year battle with dementia. She was born on November 5, 1947, on a U.S. Army base in Regensburg, Germany, to Joe Salcido and Doris Searle Salcido.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Valverde, and her parents. She is survived by her three children: Johnny Rene Chabolla, Andrea Rocha and her husband Bruce, and Stacy Guzman. She is also survived by her cherished sisters: Linda (and husband Johnny Lujan), Barbara (and late husband Albert Rodriguez), and JoAnn (and husband Jesse Goss) numerous nieces and nephews.
Her legacy continues through her four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth, strength, and kindness.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Reed family, Ms. Linda, Tameka, and Arthur for their devoted and compassionate care over the past five years. Your love and support meant the world to us.
