Carolina Coronado Sanchez, 65, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Houston. Texas. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through her brief three month battle with Aplastic Anemia.
Carolina was born on June 27, 1947 in Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Juan Coronado and Marcos “Martha” Pulido Coronado. She was the second oldest of four beautiful girls, her sisters – Hermelinda Hernandez, Epifania Arroyo and Graciela Pulido. Also two brothers – Manuel and Celso Coronado.
Known to love sweet conversations over coffee and apple pie a la mode and being a strong passionate woman who always thought of others before herself. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now, are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy and caregiving, shown through her constant smiling, nurture, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.
In 1983, Carolina married the love of her life, the late, Mr. Victor M. Sanchez. They joined in holy matrimony surrounded by her son Hector Mendez, family and loved ones. In marriage, they raised their two daughters, Victoria and Dianora Sanchez. Carolina faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking from scratch. A woman of passion and faith, she was the heart of the Sanchez family. With a real zest for life, she enjoyed quality time with everyone, especially the children she cared for and her beautiful granddaughters.
Carolina is survived by her children, son, Hector Mendez and spouse Veronica Mendez, daughters, Victoria and Dianora Sanchez, four grandchildren, Ariel Mendez, Lydia Mendez , Amber Mendez, and Cienna Mendez.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually, but including: Vitas Hospice, and her angel Erika who cared for her deeply, family and friends – either through prayer and/or visits, neighbors, and even random acts of kindness through total “strangers”.
