Carolyn Ann Price Armstrong born on October 18th,1943, to the late Mrs. Althea M. Price and Mr. Willie H. Price. A native Louisiana born and raised in New Orleans. She was baptised at an early age at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She attended John
McDonald #38 Holy Ghost and Xavier Prep. In 1961, She graduated from Walter L. Cohen Senior High School. As a child she never backed down from anything, and in her last days, she did the same. She fought till the end and she fought a good fight. On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, God whispered into her ear and said “Carolyn you don’t have to fight anymore, I’ve come to give you rest”. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She loved to bake and dance. But most of all BINGO was the one thing she loved to do the most. Although we mourn her passing, we cherish the memories that we have of her knowing that our lives will never be the same again.
She was the mother of five, two handsome sons; Steve Armstrong & Joseph Price. Three beautiful daughters; Vetta Jefferson, Lena West and Denise Walker. Also, two step children; Monique Collins and Brian Anderson. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grand children. Her one and only sister Mrs. Althea Swift. She was a life long friend of Helen (Bunney Red) Henderson. She was preceded in death by a her loving husband; Mr. Steve Armstrong. Her mother and father Althea and Willie Price. Two grandsons Barving Price and Troy Wilson. One great-grandson Cyncere Johnson, and her closest dear friend Lillian Perry.
