Carpenter Luke

Carpenter Luke, 89, of Houston, Texas passed away November 7, 2019. He was born in Louisville, Mississippi on October 19, 1930.

He was married to Mary Jochen on April 19, 1952. He served in the military from May 1951-1953 as Private First Class-Rifle Division. He was a member of North Central Church. Carpenter worked in maintenance and repair for Gates Rubber Co. He had a passion for fishing, working in the yard and around the house.

Carpenter was preceded in death by his parents, Ingo Luke and Mary Jane Katherine Luke; brothers: Ethridge, Lester, Daniel, and Curtis; sisters: Myrtle, Lillie, Bernice, Ellie, Christine and Ester.

He is survived by his children, Thomas Luke and Sharon Steuart; grandchildren: Justin Magnuson, Julianne Magnuson, Stephanie and Jennifer Luke; great-grandchildren: Ava Luke and DaniLynn Chapman.

Those honoring him as pallbearers are: Justin Magnuson, Benny Guseman, Clifton Jackson, Danny Jackson, Jeffie C. Jackson, Jr., Terry Sizemore.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am, November 16, 2019, at Brookside Funeral Home with interment at Brookside Memorial Park.
